1. Information We Collect

Information you provide — such as your email address and any preferences or interests you choose to share with us.
Usage and device information — general signals about how the Platform is used, such as language and device type, how you reached us, and the events and pages you interact with. Where possible, we handle this on a non-identifying basis to operate, secure, and improve the Platform.
Approximate location — only if you choose to use location features, and only to show you events near you. We do not track your precise location in the background.

2. Sign in with Google

If you sign in with Google, Google shares with us your name, email address and profile picture, plus your Google account ID and language setting. We ask for nothing else from your Google account.
We use this information only to create and sign you in to your Cultix account and to show your name and picture in your account menu. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell it.
It is stored with our hosting and database provider, and your email address is passed to our email-delivery provider when we send you an email; both process it only on our behalf. We do not share it with anyone else except where the law requires.
We keep it for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account (Account → Delete account), it is frozen at once and erased, including the information received from Google, after 30 days. You can also ask for deletion at privacy@cultix.co.
You can remove Cultix's access at any time in your Google Account, at myaccount.google.com/connections.
Cultix's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

3. Cookies and analytics

We count visits with PostHog, a product-analytics service that stores this data in the European Union on our behalf. Until you choose "Allow", PostHog counts your visit without storing anything on your device.
If you choose "Allow", we store: a small file recording where you first came from (for example a search engine, a social network or a shared link), kept for 30 days; a random device identifier that lets us recognise this browser; and PostHog's own identifiers. We also record how the site is used, which may include a replay of your visit with typed input hidden.
To improve the site, we show different visitors different versions of the home page, and if you choose "Allow", we will remember on your device which version you were shown, for 30 days.
If you choose "Deny", we delete those values and keep counting your visit without cookies.
You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of any page.
Analytics data is kept for 12 months. To ask for your data to be deleted, write to privacy@cultix.co.

4. How We Use Your Information

To provide, personalize, and improve the Platform and the recommendations we show you.
To communicate with you about the Platform, including updates you have asked to receive.
To keep the Platform secure and prevent abuse.
To understand, in aggregate, how the Platform is used.

5. Legal Basis & Your Choices

Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent and on our legitimate interest in operating and improving the Platform.
You can withdraw your consent, unsubscribe from communications, or ask us to delete your information at any time by contacting privacy@cultix.co.

6. Service Providers & Sharing

We use trusted third-party providers to operate the Platform — for example, for hosting and data storage, email delivery, and product analytics. They process information only on our behalf and under our instructions.
When you follow a venue, producer, or artist on Cultix, that entity can see that you follow them — specifically your display name and the date you followed. Following is optional, and unfollowing at any time removes you from their view.
We may share information where required by law or to protect our rights and the safety of our users.
We do not sell your personal information.

7. Security & Retention

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest where supported.
We keep your information only for as long as needed for the purposes described here or as required by law, and delete it on request where we are not required to retain it.
